Mid Century Panther Bookcase Cabinet

This bookcase is solid teak and oak, it has 4 shelves with two original sliding glass doors. It is a lovely shape, with the two side pieces being curved at the top, giving it a slight deco feel. My initial design pen sketch and before picture is included in the photos (please excuse the before picture, I took it mid cleaning! As you can see, it was pretty dirty! Hehe!)
The black panther (black leopard) artwork on both side pieces is hand painted and designed by myself. I wanted to create oversized ‘bookends’ to add interest and uniqueness to this piece. They are meant to show the colouration and markings these melanistic large cats have when in the sunlight :-)
The inside back and sides have been decoupaged in wonderful botanical wallpaper, which reminded me of the Amazon Rain Forest, and inspired me to create the panthers / leaves.
The shelves and background colours of the artwork is a dark navy, and the edges of the shelves have gold gilding wax added for extra detail and to tie in nicely with the edges of the side pieces.
This piece would make such a lovely statement in a home, as well as being practical :-).
*just to note, the glass doors have some minimal surface scratches due to age and use - I found it very difficult to photograph these as they’re not obvious! But wanted to mention them anyway. Please also be aware that as the doors are made of glass, it would be the buyer’s responsibility to decide whether this piece is suitable for their home*

PROCESS HIGHLIGHTS:
🔸 Whole piece cleaned - old finish removed, then sanded smooth
🔸 Shelves painted on either side
🔸 Paper cut to size and decoupaged onto inside back/side pieces.
🔸 Background colour painted onto both outer side pieces
🔸 Bottom plant with pointed leaves, painted on - details and depth added
🔸 Panthers painted on - details and depth added
🔸 Top and middle leaves painted - details and depth added
🔸 Bottom smaller leaf painted - details and depth added
🔸 Whole piece (including decoupaged paper) sealed with several coats of matt varnish.
🔸 Side piece black and gold trims cleaned, waxed and reattached
🔸 Glass doors cleaned
*Please also be aware that vintage/antique items I sell may have age related marks / nicks / patina, especially depending on the age and original purpose of the item. I see the beauty and history in these, so will either leave them in, or work with them to add to the overall aesthetic of particular pieces*

I always use reputable and experienced delivery companies, with appropriately equipped transportation for my furniture pieces.
Local delivery is free for orders over £500 to addresses within 20 miles of Annie Eclectic Studio.

Returns

I accept returns within a 14 day period, for a full refund. Please be aware, incurred delivery costs including return delivery, will not be refunded.
Should an item be returned, the original courier company must be used, and the item must be delivered in its original packaging. The item will then be inspected upon its return for any damage before a refund can be issued.
In the unlikely and unfortunate event your item arrives damaged, please contact me within 24 hours of delivery. I advise, where possible, to inspect the item upon arrival, whilst the courier is still present.
My items are packaged extremely sufficiently. The whole piece (including underneath) is protected using layers of bubble wrap, packing paper and cardboard, secured firmly with packing tape.
As a further precaution, I take photos of my items before, during and after packaging, as proof of condition before they’re collected for delivery.
